Play Therapy with Psychology & Education Studies

This comprehensive course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to implement best practices in a variety of settings. Whether working in Primary Schools, HSE services, public or private practices, participants will gain practical expertise in supporting children’s psychological well-being through play therapy.

By combining theoretical foundations with hands-on techniques, this course prepares learners to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives, fostering their emotional, social, and cognitive development in diverse professional environments.

Education Progression

Learners can progress to employment in a range of settings such as;
  • Primary Schools, afterschool services, special educational services/facilities, health services and private settings.
Progression routes include: Degree courses in Early Childhood Education & Care in colleges such as:
  • TU Dublin (Grangegorman, Blanchardstown, Tallaght)

Course features

  • Use of specialised equipment and materials as required in a Learning Environment for example: sensorial, additional needs equipment, health & well being, education & play, creative arts, storytelling & puppetry.
  • Mindfulness in the classroom
  • Interactive sessions using art, drama and music
  • Educational outings, field trips and guest speakers
  • Work experience placement for 120 hours in suitable settings for example: Primary schools, HSE services, charitable organisations, or private practices.
